Notes & Reviews:

The Dresden Kreuzchor, rich in tradition, portrays all different chapters of the church year on this new recording. Selected works are dated back to both vespers and composers from Saxony.

The Kreuzchor Vespers represent the long tradition of songs sung in the Dresden Kreuzkirche on Saturday evenings. In this recording, the period around Whitsuntide is the focal point - the time between the Ascension and Trinity Sunday. Anthemic and mystic choral works from the Middle Ages to the present day extol and illuminate the Holy Trinity. An impressive example of wonderful boys' choral singing!
