Notes & Reviews:

Toni and Rosi Grunschlag began their studies at an early age in their native Vienna. As scholarship students of the State Academy, they appeared frequently in concerts and were enthusiastically received by press and public. They graduated with the highest honors. With the help of Bronislaw Huberman whey went to England. Six months later, in 1940, they immigrated to the United States. An opportunity presented itself for them to play for the renowned New York Times critic Olin Downes. Downes was highly impressed, and at his suggestion, Toni and Rosi became a duo piano team, studying the repertoire with Robert Casadesus.
