Notes & Reviews:

"As can be seen, this is very generous measure with the complete Ma m re l'oye plus the Daphnis et Chloe Suite No. 2... with an exciting Bolero and a splendid La valse, played with an exhilarating spontaneous rhythmic freedom and, like Bolero, producing a compulsive climax. Bolero has lots of style with the glissando inherent in the melody first hinted at in the early presentations of the tune and becoming more overt towards the end... the sound gives the music-making a sense of spectacle and bite. The recording, too, has excellent ambience. It is good to see Fremaux back in the recording studio for he generally has the gift - of bringing everything readily to life." -Gramophone
