Adagio ma non troppo - ThemaNotes & Reviews:
Many piano virtuosi of early 19-century Vienna wrote sonatas for pianoforte and another instrument. Many of these were for pianoforte and horn but all were published with alternative versions, due to the scarcity of horn soloists. The natural horn has a delicate poetry, magic and drama all its own as this recording so amply demonstrates.
