Polish virtuoso double bassist Slawomir Grenda studied at the Peabody Conservatory. As a recipient of the Karajan Scholarship, Mr. Grenda played in the Berlin Philharmonic and studied with the principal double bassist in the orchestra. He has served as principal double bass with the Berlin Staatsoper and is currently principal with the Munich Philharmonic.
