Notes & Reviews:

Dedicated to the joint memory of Sviatoslav Richter and Dmitri Shostakovich, this recording features three of the most powerful chamber works of the twentieth century. The Prazak Quartet is joined by Evgeni Koroliov in a searing performance of Shostakovich's Piano Quintet, a work that has long been associated with Richter. It is coupled with two of Shostakovich's string quartets, including the perennial audience favorite, number eight.
