Kuerti Plays Schumann

>Schumann, Robert : Fantasia in C major, Op. 17
Performer Composer

Notes & Reviews:

Schumann's Sonata in G minor, Op. 22, is the most frequently played of his three piano sonatas. However, the version heard on this recording has been assembled to include the original last movement, which Schumann scrapped in response to complaints by Clara Wieck, that it was much too difficult! This discarded finale is one of Schumann's most inspired and original movements.
