International Record Review
The overwhelming excitement of the evening is reflected from the start in Karl Böhm's conducting of the overture...The performance really does belong to Böhm and the orchestra...Tempos are beautifully gauged and the scale of the performance is exactly right...Extraordinary immediacy pervades the spoken dialogue...One could hardly ask for nobler expressiveness than Dermota offers.
