Alberto Posadas "Glossopoeia" / Ensemble Intercontemporain

Notes & Reviews:

Due to the style in which he combines his sonic material, Alberto Posadas’ compatriots often refer to his music as “Francophile.” Beyond the Pyrenees and in Francophone countries, the opposite is true: there, he is viewed as a genuinely Spanish composer due to the power and aplomb that emanate from his transparent masses of sound. Posadas has been featured at the Festival d’Automne in Paris, Agora Festival (IRCAM), Strasbourg’s MUSICA, and Brussels’ Ars Musica.

"They are all challenging, densely packed scores, their tangled surfaces underpinned by elaborate mathematical models often derived from processes in the natural world. But the sheer impact of the music is hugely impressive in its own right" -The Guardian
