The soundtrack to the 2011 comedy adventure film Your Highness features traditional medieval and contemporary Celtic-sounding orchestration and choral sections from composer Steve Jablonsky in keeping with the film's chivalric fantasy milieu. Jablonsky has supplied the score for several major motion pictures, including 2003's The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake, 2005's The Island, 2007's Transformers, and 2009's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. In that sense, Jablonsky is well suited to scoring big action scenes and here he evokes both the soaring themes of the classic Errol Flynn Robin Hood movies as well as more contemporary works by artists like Loreena McKennitt. Also included is a humorous duet ballad between Zooey Deschanel and James Franco, who portray leading characters in the film. While Franco clearly may never launch a viable singing career -- something the track is obviously exploiting for laughs -- Deschanel is famous for her vocal abilities with her band She & Him, and it's cheeky fun to hear them wax Camelot with each other. ~ Matt Collar
