Saxophonist James Carter's 2011 release Caribbean Rhapsody is a collaboration with classical composer Roberto Sierra and features the piece "Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra," which premiered in Detroit in 2002. Produced by Michael Cuscuna, the album also includes a guest appearance by Carter's cousin, violinist Regina Carter.

REVIEWS:

JazzTimes (p.49) - "It's unusual, and remarkable, in that it's a full-fledged orchestral work penned with Carter's improvisational genius firmly in mind..."
