Notes & Reviews:

In 2005, Szabolcz Zempleni won First Prize in the International ARD Music Competition in Munich. Since then he has pursued an international solo career, which has taken him to Asia, the US and many European musical centers. He has performed concertos under the direction of Ivan Fischer, Yakov Kreizberg, Jonathan Nott and Michael Sanderling. Zempleni plays horn in the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra and was appointed Professor of Horn at the Academy of Music in Trossingen in 2010.

American Record Guide
Hungarian horn player Szabolcs Zempleni... has a full, potent tone quality and the personality needed for the full range of expression. ... we hear everything from warm and melting to searing and heroic. Rossini's Prelude, Theme & Variations is tuneful and lively, Jean Francaix's Divertimento playful.

Truly outstanding recording. Excellent piano work by Peter Nagy.
