Vaughan Williams' Fantasias and the violin concerto The Lark Ascending are evergreen works of English music. His Oboe Concerto, written for the great Leon Goossens, is not as well known, but has the same flavor and melodic richness. All are superbly performed here by the Consort of London under Robert Haydon Clark.
