Notes & Reviews:

On her second Genuin album Principal Violist of the Berlin Philharmonic, Naoko Shimizu, partners with pianist Özgür Aydin to perform sonatas by Hindemith, Schubert and Brahms. Shimizu is the winner of the 1996 Geneva International Competition and the 1998 Young Concert Artist International Auditions in New York and also received first prize in the 1997 Munich International Music Competition. The combined virtuosity of these two artists lavishes listeners with velvet smoothness, depth and endless legato lines.
