Considered a pioneer in minimalist music, Steve Reiche's The Desert Music is perhaps his most ambitious orchestral score to date. This highly symphonic piece, inspired by Reich's own travels through the deserts of California and New Mexico, is performed by Vienna based Tonkünstler-Orchester with the help of the Chorus Sine Nomine - one of Austria's leading vocal ensembles.
