Notes & Reviews:

John Philip Sousa will always be known as the "March King." As a composer he wrote over 100 marches, as well as operettas, waltzes, and suites. As a conductor he served as the leader of "The President's Own" United States Marine Band, as well as his own ensemble. He stands today as an American icon and the face of march music worldwide. Semper Fidelis, as well as being the motto for the United States Marine Corps and one of Sousa's most famous marches, is a spectacular album featuring some of the March King's greatest compositions. Performed by the United States Marine Band, this disc offers up Sousa classic marches like King Cotton and Easter Sunday on the White House Lawn, as well as his waltz La Reine de la Mer and his suite for band Looking Upward. Now, Semper Fidelis - The Music of John Philip Sousa will be available at a special reduced price! Don't miss this opportunity to experience some of the best works for military band available!
