Maurice Ohana: Études d'Interprétation

Album Summary

>Ohana, Maurice : Etudes d'Interpretation, for piano (Books 1 & 2)
Performer Composer

Notes & Reviews:

Maurice Ohana, a Catalan composer, continued the evolution in writing for the piano that occurred in the second half of the 20th century. Coming after Debussy, Bartók and Messiaen, who used the same generic title of Piano Studies, Ohana's work presents a great challenge for the pianist. The work is performed by Chilean pianist María Paz Santibañez, who was a prizewinner of the Académie et Concours Internatiounaux de Val d'Isère in 2009.
