Each piece on this album was chosen by director, Colonel John R. Bourgeois, making the compilation the Director's Choice. Works on the album include "Marche Hongroise," "Overture to Tannhauser," "Jubilee from Symphonic Sketches," "Symphony No. 3 Slavyanskava," "Intermezzo from Goyecas," and "The Pines of Rome."
