Notes & Reviews:

Recognized worldwide as "the poet of the piano", Samson Francois was admired for his performances of Chopin, Debussy and Ravel. One critic hailed him as one of the most important pianists in postwar France with playing that was daring as it was rhapsodic, but also notable for its uncompromising integrity and extraordinary intelligence. EMI Classics celebrates Samson Francois with the release of a 3-CD budget set commemorating the three milestones in his discography. CDs 1, 2 and 3 are devoted to Chopin, Debussy and Ravel respectively.
