Notes & Reviews:

Pianist Claire Chevallier is much in demand across Europe for solo recitals, chamber music and concertos. Highly acclaimed for her concerts and award winning recordings, Chevallier specializes in period performance practice, focusing on the music of the Romantic and early Modern periods. A musician-researcher, she collects French historical keyboards and owns six instruments covering the time span 1842-1920. Since 2004, she has been teaching fortepiano at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. This disc in celebration of the Liszt year features seven of Chevallier's favorites played on an 1876 Érard piano.

Fanfare Magazine, September/October 2012
Listeners who have savored Chevallier's Ravel (a brilliant Concerto for the Left Hand with Anima Eterna on Zig-Zag 60901) or her delicious collaboration with Jos van Immerseel in Rachmaninoff's works for two pianos and piano duet (Zig-Zag 61105) won't need much persuasion to sample her Liszt. Everyone else can check out her website, which includes clips from the new Liszt disc, to see what musical and pianistic pleasures await.
