Faure is considered to represent an exceptionally refined yet emotionally restrained musical aesthetic. Pianist Anthony Spiri is held to be one of the most versatile and respected Lied accompanists, chamber musicians and soloists on today's music scene. Born in the USA, he obtained his training in Cleveland and Boston before his artistic career brought him to Europe. Spiri's interpretation of these Piano Works brings out the truth in what Faure has to say through his music.

There is an ineffable loveliness about this playing. Given music as highly refined as FaurT's it would be difficult to imagine any of this done better.

This is without doubt one of the finest FaurT recordings I have ever heard... Spiri knows exactly how to make FaurT's intoxicating melodies soar and breathe across bar lines.
