Composer James Cohn (b.1928) studied with Roy Harris, Wayne Barlow and Bernard Wagenaar at Juilliard. His catalog includes string quartets, piano sonatas, symphonies and numerous chamber and choral works. The major work on this record, A Grecian Festival, was written for the Laurel Ensemble, who perform it here.
