Notes & Reviews:

American Record Guide, September / October 2012
It's a good band, and it makes a warm sound. In Alfred Reed's 1962 arrangement of Juan Turina's 'Procession du Rocio' a number of well-played solos are heard. Roger Nixon's colorful 'Fiesta del Pacifico' fares well, but Bernstein's Symphonic Dances is taken at rather gentle tempos and sounds more genial than incendiary. The contemplative Korean Dances (2002), a three-movement, 16-minute work by Japanese composer Chang Su Koh, puts Korean tunes through Western classical procedures and sonorities.
