Notes & Reviews:

Herman Finck wrote for the stage and was a talented arranger, noted for his music-hall medleys. His music was a staple in many of the famous London tea-rooms, which boasted a resident "palm court" orchestra. He continued to enjoy success throughout the 1930s while light music as a genre was still at the height of popularity. Almost forgotten, this disc helps us understand why he was such a popular composer.

BBC Music Magazine
Spirited Estonian performers, charming British theatre music: a delightful mix. Selections from Decameron Nights show Hermann Finck at his best.
