Rondeau features a 10 part series of cantatas for the liturgical year to celebrate the 800th anniversary of the St. Thomas' Boys Choir Leipzig. This extensive CD series kicks off with Bach's cantatas for the Reformation and the feast day of St Michael, and a chorale setting by Walter. This recording was made during the weekly cantata services and selected works allows the listener to experience the music of a service at St. Thomas as it was during Bach's lifetime.
