Notes & Reviews:
Gramophone
I have heard virtually all the recordings in the catalogue and feel pretty confident in saying that the new one under Sir Neville Marriner is among the noblest and most powerful of them all. The chorus sing the beginning almost as if it were a personal protest against death. There is superlative solo signing too.
