Notes & Reviews:

This CD presents a fascinating collection of Spanish keyboard works played on the harp, as well as "Intabulations" (settings of songs, madrigals and other vocal works) of the well-known composers working at the Spanish court. Surveying a lesser-known facet of one of the most famous periods in music history, this collection is a must-buy for the Renaissance connoisseur.

American Record Guide, September / October 2012
Musson-Gonneaud is an accomplished harpist, and her copy of a renaissance double harp is very sonorous and effectively recorded in a resonant church, adding extra ring to her instrument. Her interpretations are quite shapely and mirror the rich polyphonic textures of Cabezon's vocal models. Similar works by Luys Venegas de Henestrosa have been recorded by Andrew Lawrence-King and the Harp Consort (July/Aug 2004), but Lawrence- King often takes the original solo pieces and rearranges them for a larger group of instruments. This collection of Cabezon's music on solo harp is a special joy.
