Notes & Reviews:

After the great success of their previous CD, on this release Trio D'Ante presents four trios all composed by great pianists: Frédéric Chopin, Franz Liszt (his own arrangement of his piano piece La vallée d'Obermann), Sergei Rachmaninov, and Dmitri Shostakovich.

Fanfare Magazine, November/December 2012
The Trio D'Ante's playing, as I've said, is gorgeous, distinguished by glowing tone, refinement of expression, and perfect execution. Much as I enjoyed the Kungsbacka Trio's Chopin, the Trio D'Ante's performance strikes me as taking an even more sensitive reading of the music's emotional temperature. This is such a great work; I can't understand why it's not right up there with the piano trios of Schubert, Mendelssohn, and Brahms. Absolutely recommended...
