Notes & Reviews:
American Record Guide, January/February 2013
Kairoff's approach to all three works might be described as elegant, understated, and always enjoyable. These are pianistic interpretations, but you won't find Argerich's wide dynamic and emotional range or Gould's exaggerated tempos (or any singing along). You do get clean, clear counterpoint and phrasing in a sufficient, but narrow dynamic range. If you take into consideration the size differences between a clavichord and a piano, Kairoff could be said to give performances derived from the former. I found this very easy to listen to on many levels.
