Conductors Ensembles ComposerNotes & Reviews:
American Record Guide, January/February 2013
With a concentration on timbre, Tamar Diesendruck's music is rich, personal, and sparse. Her compositional techniques can easily lead to off-putting, pretentious prose; but the emotion of the music speaks for itself. The Grief That Does Not Speak is a powerful piece based on simple parts. High piano chords toll over violin pedals as the piece slowly crawls forward.
Recording information: Massachusetts.
