Albion presents a special collection of archive recordings featuring the words and music of Ralph Vaughan Williams. On Wenlock Edge features tenor Alexander Young accompanied by the Sebastian String Quartet and pianist Gordon Watson. Prelude on Three Welsh Hymn Tunes was taken from the work's first broadcast in March, 1955 and features the Salvation Army Staff Band led by Major Bernard Adams. Five Tudor Portraits features William Steinberg leading the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. The set includes a bonus disc of the great composer giving a talk on J.S. Bach.
