Notes & Reviews:

Genuin presents the latest release in the globally acclaimed series of Charles Koechlin's orchestral music. Koechlin is considered one of the most important 20th century French composers, yet there has not been a comprehensive examination of his works until now. His music is performed here by the Radio-Sinfonieorchester Stuttgart des SWR with conductor Heinz Holliger.

American Record Guide, September / October 2012
Having recently reviewed a rather wooden and perfunctory recording of these trios (Wu Han, Setzer, Finckel; ArtistLed 11102) I am pleased to encounter this fresh and perceptive performance by these young musicians. Hwa-Won Pyun, Lena Wignjosaputro, and Nicholas Rimmer formed the Leibniz Trio in Hanover in 2005 and have since performed widely with much acclaim from audiences and guidance and support from the Alban Berg Quartet and the Florestan Trio. So far their recordings include trios by Haydn and Reger and by Dvorak, Joseph Finlay, and Frank Martin (Genuin 11208, Nov/Dec 2011).
