Henriksen is a tasteful player and seems well-suited for this music. He can't make much more out it than simple, tuneful music; and his gut-strung instrument (the one Rocher purchased in 1810) has a limited range of color and dynamics. Even though I knew some of the composers, all the works except for the Molino 'Rondo' are new to me. But none is an undiscovered treasure. Still, if you're interested in this snapshot of the early 19th Century middle class in Germany and Norway, you may find some homely pleasures here.
