Black Tide: Light From Above

Album Reviews:

Spin (p.97) - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "[T]hey actually sound as mean and hungry as the rats who once prowled Hollywood's gutters."

Kerrang (Magazine) (p.48) - "Gleefully harking back to the wailing vocals and high-speed thrashing of yesteryear, this is retro arena hair metal..."

Album Notes

The debut release from Miami-based metal quartet Black Tide recalls the classic sound of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal of the 1980s. Drawing influence directly from iconic acts Iron Maiden and Judas Priest, Black Tide unleash an impressive twin lead-guitar attack complete with shredding runs in harmony, interlocking hammer-ons, and the like. Though LIGHT FROM ABOVE has connections to contemporary thrash and hardcore, its spirit harks back to metal's golden age, which is precisely what makes it such an enjoyable listen.
