Notes & Reviews:

This is a unprecedented, splendid disc recorded with horn players accompanied by pipe organ in a fine church located in outer Prague, featuring repertoire based on Bruckner's works. Bruckner himself was a fine organist, and his orchestral compositions sometimes leave the impression of rich organ sound. Radek Baborák, one of the most talented horn players in the world, organizes his own horn ensemble in order to realize Bruckner's sound world through his own instrument, and succeeds in evoking a solemn, celestial sound.
