Notes & Reviews:

Like many piano trios, KMW's bread and butter repertoire necessarily tends toward perennial favorites. But this group's passion for both emerging contemporary works and unusual or underrepresented classical works places them in another realm altogether. Pairing the trio's formidable talents with the oft-overlooked compositions of French female composer Cécile Chaminade yields a winsome yet revelatory result. The playing showcases the textural variances in the works, themselves by turns virtuosic and richly Romantic.

Fanfare Magazine, November/December 2012
Alas, we'll never know, because what audiences wanted to hear her play. . . After all, that's "real" women's music. . .but we do have this CD to prove that the sum of Cécile Chaminade's music was greater than what we are used to.

American Record Guide, March / April 2013
Chaminade recordings have accumulated with some regularity, and the present recording by the Swedish KMW Piano Trio is, to my knowledge, the third of her piano trios. These three musicians make convincing cases for these two works, playing with tasteful control and insight. They maintain a balance and equality in their playing that suggests they have been playing together much longer than the ten years since their formation. Their musicianship does much to strengthen Chaminade's reputation as a composer worthy of more attention.
