Album Summary
Conductor Ensemble ComposerNotes & Reviews:
Fritz Wunderluch regularly sang the tenor part in Ludwig van Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, but he never recorded it on LP before his premature death. His presence and performance make this live recording of a 1962 concert at the Heissischer Rundfunk a true rarity. This fine recording melds Wunderlich's fine cantabile singing with other top notch vocalists and instrumentals, but beyond this this offers audiophile attraction as a 1st Master Release on Audite.
Notes & Reviews:Recording information: Hessischer Rundfunk, Sendesaal, Frankfurt am Main, Germ (04/13/1962).
