Notes & Reviews:

"...These works were put together from music Eisler wrote for Films. Orchestral Suites 1-4 date from 1930-32...The music will remind listeners of the Kurt Weill of Threepenny Opera, but I believe it was the other way around - it was Eisler who influenced Weill!...The Chamber Symphony and Variations were written in Eisler's freely applied 12-tone style but have a tonal feeling. The CD transfers are crisp and detailed and compare very favorable with the LPs..." -De Jong, A.R.G.
