Rock and Roll MeAlbum Reviews:
Rolling Stone (p.79) - 3.5 stars out of 5 -- "'Be Real' is spare and funky, 'Enough Rain' raw and folky. The restraint serves her well."
Billboard (p.32) - "[The] rock veteran digs into the warm sound of vintage soul and blues here, plucking out a roadhouse-style guitar riff in 'Be Real' and riding a laidback organ groove in the mellow title track..."

4th Street Feeling is singer and songwriter Melissa Etheridge's 12th studio offering. Produced mainly by Jacquire King, it is the first record in her catalog to feature her playing all guitar parts -- including lead. Employing rock, folk, soul, and even funk, it's a storyteller's album that reflects the musical influences of her youth -- the Eagles, Bob Seger, Bruce Springsteen, Chaka Khan, Sly Stone -- while lyrically offering a view of the past and its impact on the present, all encased in contemporary sonics. The title track is named for the main drag of Leavenworth, Kansas, Etheridge's hometown.
