The program is tied together with the guitar as the central instrument - naturally. The notes give quite a detailed historical account of Spain's influence in the various countries, tying this information in with a discussion of the composers on the program. Cordevento is a lively trio devoted to reviving the virtuoso music of the 17th Century, and they play with evident verve and enjoyment. Erik Bosgraaf plays the recorders, Izhar Elias the baroque guitars, and Alessandro Pianu the harpsichord or organ. These instruments make a nice combination. Pleasant listening.
