Notes & Reviews:

In 2013 the music world celebrates the 200th birthday of Richard Wagner. This CD is performed by musicians from the Bayreuth Festival Orchestra, and contains Unusual arrangements for an unusual instrumentation.

American Record Guide, March / April 2013
This was recorded 30 years ago, but it could have been done yesterday, so clean and natural is the sound. The octet is led by Gerd Seifert, then principal of the Berlin Philharmonic, the strongest horn player I have ever heard. The arrangements by Karl Stiegler and Manfred Klier are expertly scored.
