Jennings was born in Sheffield, England in 1972 and was taught chiefly by Casken. His works are in a variety of musical genres from piano miniatures to large orchestral pieces. An appreciation for the landscape of the North of England has left a positive mark on Jennings's music, which aims to recreate its sense of timelessness. This disc gathers together all Jennings' piano music composed between 1985 and 2010 and offers his complete works for the instrument to date.
