Performer Conductor Ensembles Composers

Notes & Reviews:

Rosetti began his career as a double bassist at the Oettingen-Wallerstein court, then rose to the post of chapel master and then to orchestral conductor. His 7 extant bassoon concertos show that, even as a composer, he continued to be especially fond of bass instruments.

American Record Guide, March / April 2013
I agree that Huebner's are the better recordings. They are thrilling pieces, and Huebner has internalized their essence. Casual listener will certainly notice Huebner's beautiful German sound. It's tart and sweet, like holding a cherry in your mouth. Huebner is an excellent musician, and the performances of Rosetti's concertos are superb.
