Founded in 1994 by members of the Winterthur Collegium Musicum, the Sarastro Quartet has performed in Switzerland, Europe, North and South America. They perform two quartets by Schubert as well as Swiss composer Alfred Felder's string quartet, a series of variations based on a song from Schubert's Winterreise.
