September 5, 2012 marked the 100th birthday of the remarkable American composer, theorist and experimentalist John Cage, infamous, at the very least, for his unorthodox use of conventional instruments. This release, a very fitting tribute, features the multi-talented Floraleda Sacchi, the Italian harpist, composer and musicologist, who also plays prepared piano and vocalizes. She writes, "I read 'Silence' for the first time when I was 15. I fell instantly in love with Cage's attitudes and ideas... .Thank you, John, and happy birthday!"
