American Record Guide, March / April 2013
This release is a pleasant surprise - while listening to the first two movements of the Symphony No. 3. The Editor used "humble" a few times to describe him, and "unassuming" for the music (J/A 1993), and the adjectives are accurate. II, Andante Comodo, is one of the most quietly lovely six minutes in existence. Cohn's writing is firmly grounded in tonality. The sound is excellent.
