Notes & Reviews:

"I wander as I wander" was recorded at Harvard Memorial Church with the Copley Singers, a professional choir under the direction of Brian Jones (who for many years was the Music Director at Trinity Church, Copley Square in Boston). It includes a number of first recordings and unusual arrangements which utilize the newly installed but vintage 1932 Aeoline-Skinner organ. The version of "We Three Kings" is worth the price of the whole disc. (Think: The Wise Men meet on Halloween). This is a binaural recording.

American Record Guide, November/December 2013
Here we get about as typical a holiday program as you could ask for, from a competent Boston-area choir. Name your favorite traditional carols, hymns, and seasonal pop-songs, and there's a solid chance you'll find them here amid the 22 tracks. Some, like 'The Holly and the Ivy' and the title piece, are heard in fresh melodic guise. We get a few exotic touches, as in the Caribbean strains of 'The Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy"; and there are a number of classic English arrangements by the likes of John Rutter and Philip Ledger. Worthwhile original seasonal compositions include Bob Chilcott's fetching 'Shepherd's Carol' as well as one of Herbert Howells's lovelier Christmas pieces: 'Long, Long Ago'. The choir's Episcopal roots (many of its singers have served in the choir of Boston's Trinity Church at Copley Square) are heard in their Anglican-style hymn-descants. It's certainly pleasant and listenable. Decent sound.
