Notes & Reviews:

When the revival of 'early music ' in the first half of the 20th century brought a rediscovery of Vivaldi 's music where it became traditional for these works to be adapted for guitar. The concerto in C has latterly gained wide popularity playing it on the guitar requires minimal rearrangement to a broader listenership.

American Record Guide, May/June 2013
The program is pretty much Vivaldi's Greatest Hits for guitar. All the works can be had on a recording by the Katona Twins (J/A 2008). It's a better performance on all counts, and it includes a concerto for two guitars and a Weiss sonata on top of these works. The trio sonatas were recorded by Julian Bream and George Malcolm, splitting the three voices between the two hands of the harpsichord and the lute, and those performances, still available on RCA, shouldn't be missed. This one should.
