Album Summary
Ensemble ComposerNotes & Reviews:
The quirkily-named Glasgow-based chamber group Daniel's Beard takes Einstein's description of chamber music as its motto: the music of friends. This ethos means that this second disc from the group is one that is very special indeed. It features music by organist and composer Christopher Rathbone, with some of the music written especially for them while other pieces date from earlier in Rathbone's career. And the group's connection with the composer has a further dimension - his son, cellist Tom, is one of the ensemble's founding members.
