Notes & Reviews:

Jeremy Filsell plays the famous organ of the National Cathedral in music created during the Cathedral's first century by American-based composers, many affiliated with the Cathedral where American music has been championed since it opened in 1912.

American Record Guide, January/February 2013
The opening three busy pieces are nicely balanced by Sowerby's tender setting of the well known spiritual. Filsell offers a superb interpretation of the Carillon. Near's three movement sonata (Chaconne, Lento, Fugue) is dominated by a descending interval of a fourth. The outer movements are well structured, and the middle one offers a gentle buffer. An interesting composition.
